Allen Capps, Art Instructor
Alan attended Montreat College near Asheville, NC where he developed a love for the Blue Ridge Mountains and the genre of landscapes. After Montreat College, Alan received a Bachelors Degree in Art at Appalachian State University located in Boone, NC. Alan creates most of his work in watercolor and acrylics. Alan achieved Signature Status in 2019 with the Water Color Society of North Carolina.

In 2013, 2017, 2019 and 2022 Alan's painting titled ""Picker Paradise", "Port of Biblos", "All Dressed Up and No Where To Go", "Lavra Bell Tower" and "Laila" were selected for the Annual Juried Shows for the Water Color Society of North Carolina.

Alan has exhibited his work at Coffee & Thompson Gallery in Charlotte, NC and Alan's work is in the collection of North Carolina Artist archived by Wachovia Bank (now Wells Fargo).

2010 Historic Charlotte selected several of Alan's paintings for their "Save The Signs" Gallery Gala and Gallery Crawl held at Atherton Mill in Charlotte, NC.

2012 Alan exhibited his painting "Brief Encounter" in the Annual Juried show

2018 Alan's painting "Expressions of Ukraine" was selected for the Juried Show at the Théâtre Art Galleries of High Point, NC for the Juried Art Exhibit titled "THE BICYLE: Art Meets Form".

2019 "Port of Biblos" and "Expressions of Ukraine" were exhibited at the Caldwell Arts Center for the Western Region Show of the Watercolor Society of North Carolina (WSNC).
